RACINE - LaVerne E. Krenzke, (nee, Olson), 91, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints.LaVerne was born in Alderley, WI on May 21, 1924 to Edwin and Luella (nee, Larson) Olson. On June 26, 1947 she married John Krenzke at Grace Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. LaVerne was employed by J.I. Case company, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She loved animals, especially her dog, Dodger and her kitten, Kitty.LaVerne is survived by her children, John E. (Vicky) Krenzke and Thomas Krenzke; grandchildren, Kristen (Steve) Schlicht, Erik (Andrea) Andersen, Amy (James) Krenzke-Gibson and Dr. John R. (Alexis) Krenzke; great grandchildren, Joshua Schlicht, Katelyn Schlicht and Annabelle Andersen; and her sister, Shirley (Tom) Reshan. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Marvin Andersen.A memorial service for LaVerne will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3700 Washington Avenue, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randal Poppe officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
