Racine – LaVerne E. Berkley, 91, passed away at Washington Manor in Kenosha on Friday, March 21, 2014. LaVerne was born in Racine on January 28, 1923 to Herman and Louisa (nee, Zank) Seyferth. She married Harry L. Berkley in Racine on December 13, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2013. Survivors include her children, Kathleen Berkley, Marlene (William) Howe, Robert (Kathryn) Berkley and Sally (Ronald) Burdick; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine Matter. LaVerne is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings and great-grandson, Charlie Adams. Funeral services for LaVerne will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. Private Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Association for Glycogen Storage Disease, P.O.
