RACINE – Larry W. Rightler, 78, passed away at Hospice House in Kenosha on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Larry was born in Royal Oak, MI on April 3, 1938 to Mark and Ila Pauline (nee, Maner) Rightler. He worked for Ford in Michigan for thirteen years prior to moving to Wisconsin where he worked as Area Manager for Chrysler until his retirement. Larry was a member of Grace Church and volunteered with the Harvest Outreach Food Pantry. Larry was an avid Detroit sports fan, Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and the University of Michigan football. He enjoyed coaching his boys in whatever they decided to play. He always found a way to attend their games as they grew. Later in life, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. He was a tough critic, but no one cheered louder!Larry married the former Joyce Kirchoff who survives him along with his children, Pamela Gonzalez, Larry (Kelly) Rightler, Kirk (Jennifer) Rightler, Timothy (Gloria) Rightler and Jeffery Rightler; step-children, Jeffrey (Michele) Jones and Jennifer (Jesse) Cernicka; grandchildren, Wendy Rightler Budish, Austin Rightler, Isaiah Rightler, Ian Mahone, Beau Rightler, Brett Rightler, Jordan Gonzalez and Timothy Rightler; step-grandchildren, Jordan Cernicka, Jasmine Cernicka, Jared Cernicka and Addison Jones; great grandchildren, Kieran, Parker, Killian; and his brothers and sister, Patricia Aho, Charles (Laurie) Rightler, David (Carletta) Rightler, James (Barbara) Rightler, Alvin (Anne) Rightler, Phillip (Debbie) Rightler and Mark Rightler. Larry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Larry was recently preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jose A. Gonzalez Jr. A Memorial service for Larry will be held at Grace Church, 3626 Hwy 31, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. A special thanks to Dr. Mark DeCheck and the staff at Hospice Alliance for all their care and concern.
