RACINE – Larry M. Casperson, 80, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Larry was born in Sturtevant on October 6, 1936, to Thomas and Leona (nee, Schmidt) Casperson. On December 6, 1969, Larry married Frances R. Lang. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2015. Larry served in the U.S. Army for two years followed by twelve years in the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard. He was an active member of Missio Dei Fellowship in Kenosha where he was active with the youth groups and mission trips. His involvement with youth extended to assistant coaching duties at Lincoln Junior High School. Larry was active at Westosha Senior Center in Bristol and donated his time picking up bread and delivering to those in need. He was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his children, Christina (Arthur) Miller, Steven Casperson and Paul (Christine) Casperson; grandchildren, Arthur Miller, III, Ashley Miller, Austin Casperson and Jennifer Casperson; and his brothers and sisters, Dan, Ron, Nancy, Betty, Dean, Beverly, Bob, Roger, and Dale. Larry is also survived by other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and other siblings. A memorial service for Larry will be held at Mission Dei Fellowship, 5214 – 47th Avenue, Kenosha, on Monday, March 13th. Visitation: 9-11am. Service: 11 – 11:30am. A private family interment will take place at 2pm at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to Missio Dei Fellowship.
