Obituary
She was born in Arlington Heights, IL on April 8, 1987. Her parents are William C. and Janice R. (nee: Klaus) Mayyou.
Krista was a graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School, Palatine and St. Viator High School, Arlington Heights, IL. She earned her bachelor's in education from Concordia University Wisconsin and was inducted into the university's Hall of Fame for the sport that she loved, basketball. Her outgoing personality lit up any room she walked into, and she was beloved by the students she educated and mentored as a 3 rd grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Racine.
On July 2, 2010 she married Roosevelt "Brandon" Parker at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL. She will be deeply missed by Brandon; their sons Cameron and Colton Parker; her parents Bill and Jan Mayyou; her brother Jonathan (Andrea) Mayyou; her mother-in-law Carla Parker; her father-in-law Roosevelt Parker Jr.; her brother-in-law Corey (Maria) Parker, her sister-in-law Tacara Parker, her surviving birth family Jenny, Dave, Jesse, and Olivia Farley, Jill and Will Jenkins, as well as many extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Krista will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, Racine, WI 53402. Rev. David Gehne officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church. Please use the school parking lot entrance.
