Obituary

Racine – Kip W. Sullivan, 52, passed away at his home on Friday August 27, 2010. Kip was born in Racine on December 20, 1957 to William and Jean (nee, Herchen) Sullivan and has been a lifelong Caledonia resident. He married the former Leslie Graceffa in Riviera Maya, Mexico on April 25, 2008. Kip loved being a farmer and has farmed both crops and livestock since he was sixteen. He also worked for the Village of Caledonia Highway Department for the past 29 years and was the union president for the Highway Department. Kip had a love for nature and was an avid outdoor sportsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. Kip was very playful and liked to make everything fun. He was a generous friend, enjoyed everyone he met and was quick with a "saying". Kip is survived by his wife, Leslie Sullivan; children, Emily, Benjamin, Alaina, Eleanor and Anna Sullivan; step-children, Bryan (May) Graceffa, Beth and Andrew Graceffa; grandchildren, Lula and Maime Graceffa; mother, Jean Sullivan; brother, James Sullivan; sister, Colleen (Douglas) Bohl; in-laws Don (Nancy) Grabowski, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Steven Grabowski and Christy (Steve) Leszczynski. Kip is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. The Mass of Christian Burial for Kip will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Mark Danczyk. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to the family.
