Obituary

Kenneth C. Warren, 89, passed away at Kenosha Senior Living on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 surrounded by family.

Ken was born in Hillsboro, WI on January 5, 1936 to Rev. Raymond A. and Amy L. (nee: Gudgeon) Warren. He was a 1954 graduate of Hillsboro High School and joined the United States Navy that year proudly serving aboard the USS Fiske DDR 842, traveling throughout the Caribbean and Europe until 1958. On September 3, 1960 he married Mary Elmer from Hillsboro, WI. at St. George Rectory in Kenosha. They enjoyed nearly 65 years of married life together. They were blessed with four sons. Ken was employed at AMC/Chrysler as an electrician for over 39 years, retiring in 1997.

He was most proud of the summer family vacations traveling to the 48 mainland states, Canada and Mexico, stopping at any place of interest and historical sites.  He enjoyed helping his sons restore their AMC Javelins and AMX's to the point he had to buy a 1970 AMX for himself. Ken and Mary enjoyed many bicycle rides along the lake shore and various Wisconsin bike trails and often made Common Grounds and later Anna's on the Lake their stop for coffee or an almond latte.

He is survived by his wife Mary Warren, sons and daughters-in-law Dean (Shirley), David (Becky), Dennis, and Daniel (Lynn), his grandchildren Michael Warren, Jacob (Hillary) Warren, Katie (Thomas) Campbell, Hannah Warren, Sarah (Evan) Pofahl, Emma Warren, Tara (Kyle) Israel, Alec (Catie) Warren, Madeleine Warren, Brittany (Steven) Croyle, Laura (Jordan) Fouse, and Joseph Warren. Ken is further survived by 11 great grandchildren, his sister Mary Schiller and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Raymond and Clayton Warren.

Ken will be forever lovingly remembered. A celebration of life will be held in Hillsboro at a later date. Interment will take place in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hillsboro, WI.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Kenosha Senior Living and Hospice Alliance for their care and compassion.
