RACINE – Kem A. Vogt, Sr., 57, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Kem was born in Racine on December 26, 1957 to LeRoy H. and Iva (nee, Brown) Vogt. He was married to Carla Vogt, celebrating 25 years of marriage. Kem had been employed by American Building Restoration Products for over 28 years. He was an active member of Racine Moose Lodge #437. Kem enjoyed camping and his produce garden. He loved to do pig roasts for party's but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Carla Vogt; children, Jennifer (Phil) Gier, Brad Lessen, Jessica Vogt, Sarah (Kenneth) Kneser & Kem Vogt, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and his sisters and brothers, Sandra (Jeffrey) Colova, Robert Vogt, Antoinette Kochevar and Herbert (Kathy) Vogt. Kem is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for Kem will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the Doctors and nurses who cared for Kem at Froedtert Hospital, Aurora Cancer Care, Wheaton Franciscan All Saints and Wheaton Franciscan Hospice.
