Franksville – Kelly Lynn Stanek, 41, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Kelly was born in Racine on November 22, 1971 to Jay and Mary (nee, Bauman) Gatzke. She married Kelly J. Stanek. Kelly was employed by Educators Credit Union for over twenty years, last serving as a Vice President. She formerly served on the Board of Directors of Bethany Apartments. Kelly also volunteered in the Mentors Program at Racine Unified. She loved animals and playing softball, bowling and golf. Survivors include her husband, Kelly J. Stanek; parents, Jay and Mary Gatzke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James (Connie R.) Stanek; sister-in-law, Nikki (John) Trobaugh and their children, Taylor and Madison; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Shawn (Cammie) Stanek and their daughter, Annika; aunt, Lynn (Ron) Johnson; and uncles, Gary (Jodi) Gatzke and Doug Vincent. Kelly is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kristy Kaye Gatzke; paternal grandparents, Al and Betty Gatzke; maternal grandparents, Kaye and Jean Bauman; and her uncle, Barry "Bones" Bauman. A memorial gathering for Kelly will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 8, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints, especially, Dr. Jim Waltenberger for all of their care and compassion shown to Kelly and our family throughout these past three weeks.
