Burlington – Keith E. Muffick, 79, passed away at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington on Sunday, July 18, 2010.Keith was born in Racine on March 3, 1931 to George and Eleanor (nee, Fought) Muffick. He married the former Darlene J. Hanson at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on June 21, 1952. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2008. Keith served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1953 until 1957. Keith retired from Racine Unified School District and last worked for Legois Mfg. spending his retirement in Boulder Junction. Keith was a Charter Member of the Mt. Pleasant (South Shore) Fire Department, volunteering as a firefighter from 1964 until 1967. He was also an active member of Salmon-A-Rama. Keith is survived by his children, Karen (Tom) Kelly, Jeff Muffick and Jackie (Henry, Jr.) Jones; grandchildren, Scott (Trisha) Cairns and Laura Cairns, Lauren and Logan Muffick, Michael (Sarah) Lidholm, Joshua Grisham and Cody Jones; sister, Joyce (LeRoy) Schwantz; and nieces and nephews, Leslie, Barbara, David, George and Gail Sue. Keith is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George Muffick. A visitation for Keith will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until 12 noon followed by interment at West Lawn Memorial Park.
