Katharina R. SchweinertRacine- Katharina R. Schweinert, 82, passed away at Sheridan Medical Complex on Monday, April 04, 2011.Katharina was born in Romania on March 1, 1929 to Karl and Matilda Baumgartner. She married Arthur Schweinert in Lebenstedt, Germany on October 15, 1949; he preceded her in death on December 22, 2007. Katharina was a longtime member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She lived her life for her children and grandchildren. Katharina is survived by her children, Edwin (Denise) Schweinert of Mesa, AZ, Arnika (Mark) Michelli, Monika (Kelly) Lucas, both of Racine, Anita (Ken) Klei of East Troy and Rosemary Sheeder of Racine; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Hubert Schweinert, parents, 3 brothers in law and 2 sisters in law.A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6767 Hwy. 38, on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Robert Baran officiating.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Sheridan Medical Complex and to Cathy, Bethany and Sue from Hospice Alliance for all of the care and compassion.
