Raymond – Karen J. Wurtz, nee, Wilson, 66, passed away peacefully in her home with her family on Friday, April 11, 2014.Karen was born in Milwaukee on August 16, 1947 to Frank and Johanna (nee, Bauman) Wilson. She was joined in marriage to her beloved husband James N. Wurtz April 30, 1966.Karen was a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid gardener. She loved to bake and shop, but most of all she loved spending time with Jim and her family.Karen is survived by her husband, James Wurtz; children, Marsha (Marvin) Parrett, Steven Wurtz and Charise Temby; grandchildren, Brent, Bradley and Brett; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Allysa; and her sister, Darlene (Dan) Hively; sister-in-law, Alison (Jon) Ellingen; and brother-in-law, Dan (Rita) Wurtz. Karen is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Wilson; and sister, Sue Villa.A memorial visitation for Karen will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
