RACINE – Karen Lynn Straka, 60, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Karen was born in Racine on October 3, 1961, to Charles and Joyce (nee, Vanderleest) Lundgren. On August 8, 1987, she married Steven F. Straka. Karen loved sewing, gardening and spending time in northern Wisconsin going to antique stores and farmer's markets, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Steven Straka; children, Tony (Adrienne) Straka, Jennifer (Thomas) Ricchio and Tyler (Chelsea Barlow) Straka; grandchildren, Alonna, Nolan, Jack, Keegan, Timothy and Tucker; her mother, Joyce Lundgren; sisters and brother, Vicky Glidden, Charles (Andrea) Lundgren and Sharon (Matt) Nelson; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Beth (David) Carmichael, Amy (Charlie) Heartman; Carrie (Dave) Pettit, and Frank Straka. Karen is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lundgren, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Jo Straka; aunt, Sylvia Vanderleest; and cousin, Willie Ray. A memorial service for Karen will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family for a visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
