Judith M. Burton, 88, passed away at Lakeshore at Siena on Friday, February 28, 2025.



Judy was born on September 11, 1936, in Beloit. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1954 and worked as a certified dental assistant in the Beloit area. Judy married David Burton on August 29, 1959. They moved to Whitewater and Milwaukee then to Racine in 1962. Judy began working at M&I bank in Racine. She was employed there for 39 years and retired as a Vice President in 2001. Judy was a member of United Lutheran Church, formerly St. Andrew Lutheran Church. She was board member of Big Sisters of Greater Racine, Secretary to the Board and a former Big Sister to Nancy for 12 years. Judy volunteered for downtown Racine Corp, Festival of Trees, YWCA committees, Love and Charity Mission RAM and Jr. achievement. She was also a member of Internation Association of Administrative Professionals, Wind Point Community Club and bowled in may bowling leagues. She was an avid Packer fan, Milwaukee Bucks fan and a member of the Chicago Cubs Die Hard Fan Club. Judy was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley.



She is survived by her sister Mari Reynolds of West Frankfort, IL, nieces and nephews and their families; Chris Bauman Engen, Dennis Blunck of Beloit, Diane (Bob) Miller of South Beloit, David (Terri) Bauman of Elmhurst, OH, Dan (Cindy) Bauman of Jefferson, Mike Turk of Janesville, Diane Turk Swartz of Eagle River and sister-in-law Arlene Turk of Eagle. She is further survived by many dear friends including her girls Pictionary Group which played for 30 years, her girls that went to Memphis/Graceland and her Saturday night church group. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Dave, parents, Frank and Edith Bauman, brothers Ed, Dex, Bill and Keith Bauman, sisters Elaine Fingerhut, Nadine Bauman and Ellen Blunck, mother and father-in-law B.J and Ruth Burton.



A memorial gathering for Judy will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Judy would like everyone to wear Packers, Cubs, Bucks or Elvis attire to the service.

A special thank you to the staff of Lakeshore at Siena-Shorelight Memory Care Unit for the care given to Judy and Compassus Hospice team for the exceptional and loving care Judy received in her  last months.
