RACINE – Juan J. Ydunate, 84, passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee on Sunday, October, 25, 2015. Juan was born in Harlingen, TX on May 13, 1931 to Juan J. and Elosia (nee, Sanchez) Ydunate. In December 1957, Juan married the former Theresa Lucio, celebrating 58 years of marriage. He retired from Laddish Company after 40 years of service. Juan had a strong work ethic which resulted in him never missing a day of work. His work ethic was generated by having a large family to support. Juan wanted to provide the best for his children and wife. Juan was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Ydunate; children, Ramona (Richard) Christensen, Pete (Carrie) Ydunate, Joseph (Heather) Ydunate, Manuel (Shonna) Ydunate, John (Katie) Ydunate and Caroline (Donta Albritton) Bonilla; son-in-law, Gerardo Bonilla; grandchildren, Pearl, Emily and Leslie Christensen, C'Ann, Collin and Colton Ydunate, Zachary Ydunate, Gabriel and Serenna Ydunate, Justin Vesnefsky, John and Christopher Ydunate and Daniela and Emilio Bonilla; great-granddaughter, Sophia Sills; his sister, Carolina Vargas; brother, Manuel Sanchez; and special brothers-in-law, Robert Lucio, Alfredo Lucio and Raymond Vega. Juan is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jose Ydunate. Funeral services for Juan will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
