Caledonia- Joyce I. Peterson, 90, passed away at Ascension Healthcare- Spring Street on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Joyce was born on August 18, 1933, to Warren and Laura (nee; Fish) Lansing. She attended schools in Racine and Kenosha, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School. She married Jack Peterson on July 7, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2013. She worked for Dr. Alios Tennessen. Joyce retired to Florida in 1992 and ran J&P Estates sales in Port Charlotte. She was always perky. Joyce had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party. She enjoyed working in her garden and was an amazing housekeeper. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters Janice (Butch) Hush, JoAnn (Carleton) Tessmer and Jayne (Dan) Roth, son Jerry (Char) Peterson, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister Carol Pfister. Joyce is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son James Peterson, brother Robert Lansing and sister Lorraine Blazavier.
Private services for Joyce will be held.
