Joyce E. Overstreet, 81, passed away at Ascension Healthcare- Spring Street Campus on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 with her family by her side. Joyce was born in Fullenten, MS on July 22, 1939 to Benjamin and Myrtle Graham. She married James Overstreet in Waukegan, IL and celebrated 56 years of marriage. Joyce spent her career caring for others working as a nurse. She enjoyed crocheting and going thrift shopping. Joyce loved spoiling her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her husband James, children James Overstreet, Jr. and Monique Overstreet, grandchildren William Overstreet, Natasha Johnson and Joshua Johnson and great grandchildren Jaedyn, Gianna and Naheem Overstreet, Tavarion "TT" Perry and Julian Johnson. Joyce is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sister, niece and nephew. Funeral services for Joyce will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
