Racine - Josephine Carrie (nee, Garbo) Chovan, 94, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Josephine was born in Racine on April 22, 1919 to John and Emily (nee, Billardello) Garbo. She married Walter Chovan in Racine in 1943. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1988. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Mary Ellen Chovan; grandchildren, Steven (Patti) Chovan and Christine Chovan; and her great grandchildren, Jack and Sara. Josephine is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private family services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013. Interment will take place at Bohemian National Cemetery.
