Joseph L. D'Acquisto Racine - Joseph L. D'Acquisto, 64, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Joey was born in Racine on February 25, 1943 to Frank and Amelia (nee, Giacinti) D'Acquisto, Sr. He lived most of his life with mom and dad and the past 11 years at Ridgewood Care Center. He spent many years with Careers Industries. Joey was a joy to his family and will be sadly missed. Survivors include his sisters, Connie (Jack) Falbo of Orlando, FL and Linda D'Acquisto and Jim Stewart of Middleton; brother, Frank (Lisa) D'Acquisto of Racine; beloved aunt and loving caregiver, Eva Smerchek; nieces and nephews, Natalie (Falbo) Latino, Janet (Falbo) New, Emily D'Acquisto, Abbey D'Acquisto, Danny D'Acquisto, Sarah Stewart and Ian Stewart. Joey is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Richard Molter. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ridgewood Care Center. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Aunt Eva Smerchek for her love and compassion, and to the entire staff of Ridgewood Care Center for their care and support of Joey for the past 11 years.
