Naples, FL- Jon Garret Sustachek (SUS), 77, formerly of Racine, passed away at Naples Community Hospital on November 16, 2021. Jon was born in Racine on July 17, 1944 to Harold and Myrtle (nee:Christopherson) Sustachek. He was a 1963 graduate of William Horlick High School. In 1965, he was married to Susan Weber. In 1966, He proudly became a firefighter for the city of Racine. He retired as Captain in 1997 after 32 years of service. In October of 2008, Jon became a liver transplant recipient. Jon enjoyed fishing, especially on Washington Island, his childhood vacation spot. He was an avid NASCAR and drag racing fan and attended races in Michigan, Las Vegas and Atlanta. For many years, he built model cars, planes, trains and boats and was a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Jon is survived by daughters, Monica Sustachek and Jennifer Rosenbaum (Trad); grandchildren Garret Sustachek and Samuel Rosenbaum; former wife, Sue Sustachek; sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Gail and Clyde Freehling, Larry Weber (Deb Deyoung), Vicki and Paul Taylor, Mary Ann Sustachek, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jon was preceded in death by his sister Joanne Monfelli, brother Harold (Pudge) Sustachek, sister-in-law Sharon Chambers. In keeping with Jon's wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home Feb 5, 2022 from 1-3 pm. Celebration of Life service will take place at 3pm.The family would like to thank Dennis Strand and Jim Schmitz for being Jon's "Naples Family"
