Racine- John E. Sautier, 80, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at Ascension All Saints.

He was born in Illinois on July 6, 1942 to the late Edward J. and JoAnne N. (nee: Dubberke) Sautier.

He was employed with the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department and Bedford Fire Department until his retirement.

Upon moving to Racine, John was a fishing boat charter captain and a member of the Harbor Lite Yacht Club. He enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Carol J. Fairbanks and her family. Sadly, she preceded him in death on January 28, 2017.

John is survived by his brother Edward (Jay) Sautier; his sisters Patricia O'Sullivan and Michelle (John) Ciechna, nieces, nephews, and members of the Fairbanks family.

A visitation for John will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home. Private interment will take place in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Cudahy.
