Fort Atkinson – Jeffrey M. Steinke, 46, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Jeff was born in Milwaukee on July 24, 1963 to Wallace and Darlene (nee, DeWitt) Steinke. He served in both the U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Air Force Reserve. Jeff was employed by Fort Healthcare as a Paramedic. His passion was helping people and his entire career was dedicated working in the emergency services as both an E.M.T. and Paramedic. Jeff loved anything outdoors including fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle. He also had a love for music. Jeff is survived by his children, Sabrina (Mike Konecko) Steinke, Samantha Steinke and Jacob Steinke; his parents, Wallace and Darlene Steinke; fianc' Dee Dee Haugen; brothers and sister, Tim Steinke, Greg (Sandy) Steinke and Sheri (Bob) Hardy; and niece and nephews, Rick and Stephanie Steinke, Evan and Zachary Hardy. Jeff is also survived by his former wife, Tina Steinke; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services for Jeff will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 4 p.m. with Rev. John Oscar officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Jeff's children.
