Jeffrey Van KoningsveldRACINE- Jeffrey VanKoningveld, Age 64, Passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Jeff was born in Racine on June 25, 1952 to Richard and Arnolda (nee: Derksen) Van Koningsveld. He married Lisa Affolter in Racine on November 4, 1972. Jeff enjoyed reading, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the IBEW local 430 and served as past president as well as hosting Labor Today on WRJN. Jeff was actively involved in his community and youth sports and Horlick Vocal Music Parents' Association. He served on the Board of the United Way for 6 years. Jeff served as the chairperson for the Racine Democratic Party and worked to improve the transit in Wisconsin. Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Aaron (Jill Braun), Sara (Erik Potter) and Kriss (Natalie Renteria) Van Koningsveld; Grandsons, Henry and Levi Van Koningsveld and siblings, Sandra, Judith (Terry McDougal), Richard (Julianna Clausen) Deborah (Bill Hoyt) and Brad (Tammy) Van Koningsveld. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering for Jeff will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Family requests that you wear casual attire. No formal service will be held. Memorials to the United Way have been suggested.
