Obituary

RACINE – Janice Mary Hoffmann, 58, called by God, entered into the eternal joy of her Savior, on August 29th, 2014. Beloved wife of Thomas Hoffmann, she spent 29 happy years of marriage and raised three boys, Jared now 25, Marc 22 and Joseph 19. Her husband and children are survived by Jan today. Her life is a testimony to her faith. In the fall of 1973, she began to follow Jesus Christ and has remained in him. After a climatic year-long struggle with cancer Jan's perseverance in loving Christ today causes her family to greatly rejoice, affirming that she has, "fought the fight and finished the race" spoken of in 2 Timothy 4:7. Jan's faith was testified to by the many close friends and family members who visited with Jan in the weeks prior to her passing.Jan enjoyed the good grace of family, which was both her life's work and favorite passed time. A devoted teacher, she last served at Christian Life High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jan was also an avid reader and loved to spend time in nature. She will be tremendously missed by her husband, three boys, dear sister, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and mother in law.Funeral services for Jan will be held at Journey Church, 10700 – 75th Street, in Kenosha on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 at 4 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating. Entombment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
