Racine – Janice Elsie Galizanski, 56, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints, on Sunday, July 11, 2010 surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family. Jan was born in Racine on July 23, 1953 to Harry Edward and Elsie Phyllis (nee, Buisse) Blinten. She married Theodore Galizanski on December 19, 1992. Jan worked for the Hair Emporium, previously working for Smart Set Beauty Salon. Jan loved to fish especially at Fawn Lake near the Dells. She loved to play cards and scrabble; enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables and was a very good cook. She loved her cat Tarz and dog, Sadie, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, granddaughter and her nieces, and nephews. She was a very loving and caring woman and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and clients. Jan is survived by her husband, Theodore Galizanski; children, Candace (David) Hauser Bielefeldt and Edward Zachary Hauser; granddaughter, Lily "Sweety Pea" Bielefeldt; sister, Judith (Robert) Turner; nephews, Robert (Patty) Turner, Scott (Jill) Turner and Todd (Teresa) Turner; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyssa, Sage, Jenna, Jarret and Mark Turner. Jan is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and maternal grandparents, Phil and Coralie Buisse. Memorial services for Jan will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Melissa, from Wheaton Franciscan Visiting Nurses as well as all of Jan's caregivers for all of their care and compassion.
