James E. Whitten RACINE – James E. Whitten, 77, passed away at Sheridan Medical in Kenosha on Monday April 27, 2015. Jim was born in Little Rock, AR, on April 6, 1938 to Everette and Erma (nee, Sumlar) Whitten. Jim loved to travel, spend time working on his cars, camping and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Survivors include his children, James Whitten, Jr., Shelly (Mike) Anderson, Daren Whitten, Shannon Whitten and April (Petro, Jr.) Garcia; grandchildren, Chasity, Christine, Jessica, James, Robert, Katelynn, Amber, Sal, Jayden, Levi, Alex, Noah and Madison; great-grandchildren, Veronica, Katherine and Isabella; his sister, Beverly (Bob) Venit; best friend, Jim Sill; and his former wife, Linda Whitten Fox. Jim is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ann; and brother, Billy turner. A graveside service for Jim will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11 a.m.
