James W. Strzelecki
RACINE – James W. Strzelecki, 79, passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Jim was born in Milwaukee on November 9, 1945 to Edward and LaVerne
(nee, Berdine) Strzelecki. He married the former Marie A. Stankiewicz. She preceded him in death in 2016. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1963 until 1966. He retired from Bucyrus International after more than 42 years. Jim enjoyed his time boating on the Misty Lady.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Marie Strzelecki; step children, Jennifer Brod, Jeremy and Heidi Olson and his sister, Faith (Ross) Lukowski and sisters in law Barbara and Suzie Strzelecki. Jim is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Francine J. Strzelecki (nee: Schreiber) in 1990; his mother and father; his brothers; Edward, Robert and Lawrence Strzelecki and his best pup Brandi.
A memorial service for Jim will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery Chapel on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the cemetery chapel on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jim's niece and best friend Pamela Mayer for her loving commitment to Uncle Jim.
