RACINE – James L. "Jim" Lui, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 29, 2014. Jim was born in Racine on February 24, 1939 to Theodore M. and Mildred (nee, Macak) Lui. Jim graduated from St. Catherine's High School, Class of 1957. He served in the Army where he was stationed in Korea. Jim worked many years at Western Publishing from where he eventually retired. He was a member of the Racine Moose Lodge #437. Jim played on senior volleyball and baseball leagues and loved to dance, especially square dancing; his greatest joy of all was spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Survivors include his three sons, Michael, Jeff (Jane) and Tim (Tracey); grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Melissa; great-granddaughter, Zoe Regner; sisters, Sally (Alex) Peplinski, Nancy (Bill) Scharding and Rosalie (Jerry) Fabian. He is furthered survived by relatives and many dear friends. A memorial visitation will be held for Jim at the funeral home on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 1 until 4 p.m. A private interment will be held at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
