RACINE – James C. Drozdowski, 76, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove on Friday, October 20, 2017. Jim was born in Lackawanna, New York on August 17, 1941 to Chester and Bernice (nee, Poniatowski) Drozdowski. He married the former Valerie Bernice Ille in 1973. She preceded him in death on January 28, 2016. Jim served in the U.S. Army for thirteen years in both Germany and Vietnam. Jim had been employed by Timkin in Colorado Springs, Co. Upon moving to Racine, he worked for Young Radiator and retired from Bosch. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with Valerie and was crazy about cars. Survivors include his step-son, Gerald Reutter; step-grandchildren; Simon Reutter, Nika (Max Wosalait) Reutter, Heiko Reutter, Leah (David) Krawchuk and Derek Neuman; great-grandsons, Owen and Caleb; and great-granddaughters, Niola Neuman and Jaslinn Bassinger. Jim is also survived by numerous other relatives in New York and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Jurgen Reutter; step-daughter, Ilona Reutter; grandson, Jason Bassinger; and brother, C. Dennis Drozdowski. In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held.
