RACINE – James M. Binkowski, 57, passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee on Saturday June 5, 2021.Jim was born in Burlington on August 12, 1963, to the late George R. Binkowski, Jr. and Theresa A. (nee, Trainor) Kasmer. On May 13, 2000, Jim married the former Carol Jeanne Schwartz. Jim worked in sales, both in insurance and as new car sales manager for Towne Ford and Russ Darrow. He was a past member of the BNI Group and Friday Optimists Club. Jim enjoyed golfing, swimming, reading, cooking, baking brownies, watching the Packers and Brewers, and played a mean air guitar. He loved watching superhero movies, but most of all he loved watching his grandchildren play sports.Survivors include his wife, Carol Binkowski; daughters, Samantha (Zach) Morris and Johanna Binkowski; grandchildren, Parker, Madelyn and Dominic; his mother, Theresa Kasmer; brother, Jason (Heather) Jones; sister, Tammy Powers; and grandfather, Bud Urbanski. Jim is also survived by his uncles, Jim (Patsy) Powers and Lee (Anne) Urbanski; father-in-law, George Schwartz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lisa (Brent) Schultz and Stephanie (Henry) Haas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Jones; stepfather, Andrew Kasmer; grandmother, Theresa Urbanski; mother-in-law, Patricia Schwartz; brother-in-law David Schwartz; and his uncle, Bill Powers.A memorial service for Jim will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at 4308 Spring Street, Racine, WI 53405. Following the service relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Jim's life. To honor Jim's memory everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite superhero shirt and all children are welcome.
