RACINE—Irene Mary Dart, 90, passed away at Oakridge Care Center on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Irene was born in Schenectady, New York on June 13, 1926 to the late Chester and Mary (nee, Olwert) Bieganski. She is the sister of the late Chester (Bucky) Bieganski. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1944. On August 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to the late Dominick J. DiCocco. On June 6, 1975, she was united in marriage to the late James H. Dart. Irene worked as a bookkeeper and receptionist for several doctors in both Schenectady and Myrtle Beach, SC, where she and Jim retired in 1988. Irene loved flowers, gardening, cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge and in her later years was taught to play Cribbage by the friends she made in Wisconsin. Irene was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen (Tony) Perretta. Survivors include her sons Mark (Carol) DiCocco and Michael Dart, her daughters Lisa (Gregory) Heath, Susan (Bill) Lyall, Debbie Rauch, and Laurie (Joe) Finkel; grandchildren Jennifer (Andy) Bennett, Lori (Todd) Birmingham, Jack Heath, Denise (Sven) Kielhorn, Shannon Penland, Emily Dart and Lewis Finkel; great grandchildren; Luke and Anna Bennett, Kathleen, Natalie and Evan Birmingham and Angus Penland. Irene is also survived by several nieces and friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church 572 Cypress Ave. Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Oak Ridge Care Center, 1400 8th Ave Union Grove, WI 53182 or Seasons Hospice 6737 W Washington St, Ste 2150 W.Allis, WI 53214 .
