Ignacio “Nacho” Cruz, Jr., 70, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Ignacio was born in Racine on August 29, 1956, to Ignacio, Sr. and Ramona (nee: Quiroz) Cruz. He married Ramona Chacon in Racine on June 26, 1975, celebrating 50 years of marriage. Ignacio was a talented percussionist and played in a variety of bands over the years. He had a love of music and dancing. Ignacio was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed gardening and making others laugh. He was a caring and giving man always willing to lend others a hand. Most importantly he loved and cherished his family.

Ignacio will be deeply missed by his wife Ramona Cruz, daughters Tina (Nick Chaffee) Cruz, Trina (Byron) Ortiz and Maria (Montez Cheeks) Cruz, grandchildren Selina, Angelica, Elisia, Daniel, Salayzha, Montez, Jr. and Jayceon, great grandchildren, Analiese, Adiana, Abraham, Jr., Alina and Zonyel, siblings Sylvia, Richard, Alfonso and Irene mother in law Mary Chacon and in laws Vivian, Lydia, Diane and Paul. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ignacio was preceded in death by his parents, brother Antonio and nephew and godson Brian.

A visitation for Ignacio will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Private interment will take place in Calvary cemetery.
