PEWAUKEE – Herbert E. Kuehnemann, D.C., 73, passed away at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Herb was born in Racine on February 24, 1948, to the late Yolanda (nee, Massimiliano) and Herbert E. Kuehnemann, Sr. He married the former Margaret Jean "Peggy" Glueckstein, celebrating 36 years of marriage. Herb served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during Vietnam. He worked for many years as a Respiratory therapist and a brief time as a Steamfitter. In 1985, Herb entered the Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 1988 and began a practice. He was a gifted Doctor of Chiropractic, found joy in helping his patients every day, and garnered a dedicated patient following during his 33 years of practice. He expressed his artistic side through photography, music, and cooking. In recent years he found a deep sense of satisfaction in tracing his family's genealogy, specifically his Italian roots, and in November 2020 was granted Italian Citizenship by Descent. He was a loving and dedicated father and husband.Survivors include his wife, Peggy Kuehnemann, daughter, Elaine Kuehnemann, son, Kevin Kuehnemann, and his brother, Terry Kuehnemann. Herb is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Kuehnemann. A funeral service for Herb will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. followed by Full Military Honors. A private family interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. The service will be Live Streamed and can be seen on Herb's obituary on the funeral home website. Memorials may be directed to the family who will be donating to several of Herb's favorite charities.
