Henry Robert Ross, 11 months old, passed in the arms of his mom and dad on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Childrens Wisconsin.
Born in Milwaukee on November 23, 2021 to Brandon and Angela (nee Romano) Ross. Henry was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and spent the majority of his life in the cardiac ICU. He was a sweet and resilient little boy whose contagious smile lit up the room. Some of Henry's favorite things included watching his crib mobile, interactive therapy sessions, flirting with his nurses, and rocking or movement of any kind. He loved when family members would sing, read stories, and give him head rubs. Henry was a "side looker," as he often didn't turn his head, but instead gave a side look. He was also known to have the best eyebrows in the business!
Most of all, Henry should be remembered for his strength and fight to live—a true Heart Warrior. He survived two open heart surgeries, multiple cardiac arrests, two strokes, countless procedures and complications while still sharing his infectious smile. He overcame each and every obstacle thrown his way until it just became too much. Henry is now an angel in Heaven, where Jesus has made his heart whole again.
Henry is survived by his loving parents Brandon and Angela. Precious grandson of Tony and Sandy Romano, Wally and Carolyn Ross. Dear nephew of Dominic Romano. Adored great grandson of Andrea Tenges. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by so many family members, friends, and staff at Children's Wisconsin.
