Helen Mae Schaefer Leesburg, FL - Helen Mae (nee, Borsh) Schaefer, 87, passed away in Leesburg, FL on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Helen was born in Racine, WI on May 26, 1921 to Julius and Helen (Kovach) Borsh. She married Paul G. Schaefer on June 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death August 13, 1997.Helen will be deeply missed by her surviving family who include; her children, J. Susan (Curtis) Barnes of Racine, H. Marie (Ronald) Seeger of Franksville, Paula J. Schultz of West St. Paul, MN and Paul M. (Tracy) Schaefer of E. Palatka, FL; grandchildren, Curtis D. (Barbara Magsted) Barnes, Connie (Jeff) Tumm, Ronald L. (Jackie) Seeger, Cheri (Jeff) Seeger Porter, Wayne Schultz, Cheryl (Jack) Keohnen, Leslee (Josh Barnes) Schaefer Barnes and Katie (Nick Johnson) Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Robbie and Sarah Tumm, Chastity, Sara and Luke Schultz, Ashley and Nicholas Keohnen, Maggie Larson, Bradon Barnes and Jesper Schaefer ; great-great-grandson, Justin Schultz; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Martha (Charles) Halstead, Ida Seyferth, Andrew Schaefer and Esther Gallo.Helen is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Helen, sister Julia Reshan and brother Frank Borsh. Memorial services for Helen will be held at Purath-Strand funeral home on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hilbert Kamps officiating. Inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
