RACINE – Helen Agnes Eickhorst, 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Helen was born in Racine on August 3, 1916, almost reaching her 100th birthday. She married Walter J. Eickhorst on June 2, 1934 in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1994. Helen loved to travel, bowl and play cards with her friends, but most of all she loved her family. Survivors include her son, Jack Eickhorst; grandchildren, Jerilyn Fox, Jan Vinslauski, Terri (Dave) Buckett, Sharon Johnson, Jim (Deb) Eickhorst and Linda (Bob) Hocutt; ten great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and close friend, Jean M. Porter. Helen is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Eickhorst. Funeral services for Helen will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Steven Clingman officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
