Helen B. David Burlington - Helen B. David, 82, passed away at Mt. Carmel Medical and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, August 16, 2007. Helen was born in Racine on June 23, 1925 to Joseph and Francis Bartek. She has been a lifelong Racine area resident. Helen married Albert A. David in Racine on July 3, 1943. He preceded her in death. Helen was manager of Martha Merrell's Book Store for eleven years and was an aide in the reading department at Horlick High School. She was an avid reader and a lifelong member of the Sokol. Survivors include her children, William (Judith) David and Robin (Mark) Bowen; grandchildren, Jennifer (David Schlitzer) David, Josiah (Sara) Redford, Abraham (Jackie) Redford and Seth Redford; great grandsons, David Redford and Isaac Redford; and sister, Marie Woiteshek. Helen is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, David Redford; and four brothers. Funeral services for Helen will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Sue Bowen officiating. Private interment will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
