RACINE – Hedwig Wagner, 91, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Hedwig was born in Binzen, Germany on February 2, 1923 to Julius and Mina (nee, Spoeri) Kreutner. Hedwig was employed by Rainfair for more than thirty years, retiring in 1986. She also had worked for six years at the Sweden House Restaurant in Milwaukee and at Zahn's Department Store for ten years. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, the Rebecca Circle and the German Club. Survivors include her daughter, Anita (William) Miller; grandsons, Travis (Ann) Miller and William (Carolyn) Miller, III; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan and Amelia Miller, and Cara Cribari; and her niece, Angie Valente. Hedwig is also survived by other relatives and many friends in the U.S. and Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service for Hedwig will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mary Janz officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
