RACINE – Harvey J. Klawinski, 87, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Harvey was born in Athens, WI on July 13, 1928 to John and Martha (nee, Lesczynski) Klawinski. On June 23, 1956, Harvey married the former Florence R. Wozniak. He served in the U.S. Army. Harvey had been employed by the Crestview Sanitary District and retired from Ladish after more than 35 years. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved being with his family. Survivors include his children, Kevin Klawinski, Kenneth Klawinski, Keith (Donna) Klawinski, Karl (Joanne) Klawinski, Karen Klawinski and Kathie Klawinski; and his grandchildren, Maranda Klawinski, David Klawinski, Allie (Andrew) Miller, Kayla Klawinski, Kelsey Perkins, Grace Klawinski and Anna Klawinski. Harvey is also survived by his brother, Jack (Margaret) Klawinski; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brother, Florence, Violet and George. The Mass of Christian Burial for Harvey will be held at St. Rita's Parish, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Jim Wenzel, O.S.A. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Rita's Parish.
