Racine – Harold E. Williams, 91, passed away at Becker Shoop Center on Sunday, August 28, 2011. Harold was born in Seymour, WI on July 19, 1920. He spent his childhood in the Bloomer and Chippewa Falls area before joining the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his time in the Navy he moved to the Milwaukee area where he met his wife of 53 years, the former Loretta J. Fonder. They eventually settled in Racine. Harold retired from Halls Motor Freight in 1984. Each year he could not wait for spring so he could spend his time in his garden and fishing. He also was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Harold is survived by his wife, Loretta J. Williams; children, Randy (Julie) Williams, Karleen (Mark) Whelan and Greg (Karen Hanson) Williams; and grandchildren, Nick and Max. Harold is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and was the last surviving sibling of his family. Funeral services for Harold will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Caledonia Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff's of Becker Shoop Center and the Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Emergency Department and Third Floor for all of their compassionate care.
