RACINE – Harold "Butch" Lee Christensen, 72, passed away at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL on Friday, February 20, 2015 following a 3 month stay in the hospital due to an automobile accident. A lifetime resident, Butch was born in Racine on October 10, 1942 to the late Harold R. and Alma K. (nee Dolezal) Christensen. Butch worked for Honda, Young Radiator and the City of Racine's Park Dept. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins and spending time with his friends.Butch is survived by his longtime companion, Marjorie Bahr; son, Kevin (Pinky) Christensen; daughter, Jodi (Branon) Christensen; brother, Jon (Kitty) Christensen; sister, Karen (Randy) Sowinski; extended family, Chris (Jack) Nielsen, Julie (Randy) Borzych; grandson, Cameron Cochran and granddaughter, Taylor Borzych. Funeral services for Butch will be held at Purath-Strand Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.
