Harley Compton, 87, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Hello, I am Harley. I was born and raised on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Munising, MI. I enlisted in the Navy when I was 17 to better my life. I eventually moved to Racine for employment. I was employed by Johnson Wax for many years. I also owned and operated my own business, Harley’s Fence Co. I’ve learned a lot of lessons throughout my life, good and bad. Most importantly, I’ve learned to be generous and help those I care about, and even a stranger at times. I have always been fair even upon my death.
I am survived by my wife Jean, my three daughters Jeanie, Kristine and Jennifer, my two sons Danny and Robert and my son-in-law, I have many grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am also survived by my brothers Jerry and Delbert. I am preceded in death by my parents, daughter Joanne, my brothers Paul, Keith and Robert and my sisters Mary and Susie.
My final resting place will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
