RACINE – Goldie Margosian Roy, 85, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Saturday, May 30, 2015.Goldie was born May 9, 1930 in Racine to Charles and Ester Margosian (Deceased). She has one child, Charles D. Roy of Burlington; two grandchildren, Nicholas C. Roy and Justin R. Roy of Racine, whom she loved very much; two sisters, Elsie Gabrielian and Margaret (Andre) Antreassian of Racine; and sister-in-law, Rose Margosian. Goldie is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sarkis Margosian; and brother-in-law, Sarko Gabrielian.Goldie will be known for her Belly Dancing at the Armenian Picnics. She was a loving woman that gave of herself when needed. Always a caring and hardworking woman who wouldn't let things get her down. Her love for the lord was INCREADIBLE. She loved Brett Farve and the Packers. She had the opportunity to go to a game and till the day she passed away she always talked about her experience. She has many friends but there are two who were dear to her heart Jack and Diane Melville (Waukesha). Funeral service for Goldie will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 4605 Erie Street, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Yeprem Kelegian officiating. A private family interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would ask you to donate the American Cancer Society.
