Obituary
Gloria was very active as a life-long member of St. John's, being involved with Altar Guild, Parish Fellowship, as well as volunteering at St. John's Lutheran School. Gloria faithfully attended church and Bible Study. Gloria loved Jesus, her Lord and Savior and her church family.
Gloria was blessed with two sons. Jon (Judy) and Mark (Lorraine) Mielke. Gloria also found great joy with her three grandsons, Jeremy (Stefanie) Mielke, great grandchildren Logan and Addison; Justin (Megan) Mielke, great grandchildren Liam and Amelia; Jonathan (Chelsea) Mielke, great granddaughters Lila, Sophia, and Ava.
In addition to her parents and husband (Paul), Gloria was preceded in death by five sisters (Dorothy, Carol, Lillian, Marie, and Pat) and husbands. Gloria, her sisters, their husbands, and children came together many times to celebrate the 4th of July, birthdays, and many other occasions. God blessed Gloria with many nieces and nephews.
Gloria enjoyed a wonderful retirement with her husband and grandchildren. On many occasions Paul and Gloria accompanied grandchildren to Disney World and other southern destinations. Gloria also enjoyed a daily devotion with her husband along with morning coffee and many morning walks together around her neighborhood in Racine.
Visitation for Gloria will begin at 9:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church (1501 Erie Street, Racine) on Tuesday, February 13, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church are welcomed.
