RACINE- Gloria M. (nee, Vela) Aguilar, also known by many as "Taco", 74, passed away at Ascension Healthcare-All Saints on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Gloria was born in California on January 4, 1943 to Raul and Hermanagilda (nee, Yanez) Vela. She married Miguel Aguilar, Sr. He preceded her in death. Gloria loved to play softball and bingo, but most of all she loved dancing with her husband, Miguel.Survivors include her children, Miguel Aguilar, Jr., Patra Aguilar, Elena Aguilar and her sons at heart, Mark Engel and Robbie Harrington; her grandchildren, Moriah, Michael, Angelina, Novella, Sofia and Alfredo, III; great grandchildren, Andres, Jr., Acelino and Ameliano; and her brothers and sisters, Reynaldo (Linda) Vela, David Vela, Angeline Ortega and Adeline (David) Hollis. Gloria is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lucy Vela-Rodriguez; and sister-in-law, Sue Vela.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street on Saturday, October 21 at 12:00 noon. Family and friends may meet with the family on Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 noon. Private Inurnment will take place. Memorials may be directed to the family.
