RACINE – Geraldine Sheffield, 71, passed away at home on Friday, November 13, 2015. Gerry was born in Milwaukee on November 18, 1943 to Roman and Frances (nee, Prochniak) Cielesinski. She worked for Dr. Edward T. Stevens for more than 24 years as his office manager, helping him start and run a very successful neurology practice. Gerry was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society. She loved crocheting and doing crafts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Survivors include her children, Scott Sheffield and Dawn Sheffield; grandsons, Andrew and Jacob Sheffield; her sister, Mary Ann Mehrten; niece, Donna Mehrten; and nephew, Maverick Mehrten. Gerry is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Mass for Gerry will be held at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 3035 Drexel Avenue, on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 5 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Mark R. Jones. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 5 p.m.
