Racine - Georgia Rickert, nee Meyers, 66, passed away at home on Monday, July 16, 2012. Georgia was born in Racine on April 3, 1946 to William and Irene (nee, Pfeiffer) Meyers. She has been a lifelong Racine resident. Georgia married Joseph T. Rickert in Racine in September 1967. Joseph preceded her in death November 20, 2004. Georgia was employed by Pugh Oil in Racine for over 40 years, and last employed by ATC Leasing in Milwaukee. Survivors include her brothers, Phillip Meyers, Thomas (Jean) Meyers and William (Barbara) Meyers; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kitty and Terry Nelson. Georgia will be remembered fondly by surviving nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-niece, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sister-in-law, Marie Meyers; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Lillian Rickert. The Mass of Christian Burial for Georgia will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Erie and St. Patrick's Street, on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bill Burkert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
