Georgene R. George'GG' Racine- Georgene 'GG' George, 79, died at her home on Monday, June 4, 2007.GG was born in Racine, daughter of Fred and Vlasta Oertel September 25, 1927. Georgene married Leo George on Valentine's Day, 1948.She is survived by a daughter, Lorna George and son, Michael (Renee) George, grandchildren, Dayton, Miranda, Jessica, Brandon, Bryan, Jena, and Aliyah, sisters Evelyn Carey, Virginia Kayon, brother Fred (Ruth) Oertel, stepson Jerry (Joan) George, sisters in law Jean George and Connie Schrader, all of Racine, and cousin Jack Pluhar, of Laguna Hills, CA. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Georgene was preceded in death by her husband Leo, mother Vlasta, grandson Brad, brothers and sisters in law. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at the funeral Home, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. William Mains officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice Alliance, Inc. or the Wisconsin Donor Network have been suggested. Special recognition and thanks are given to Renee and Mike George and their children for their loving care during the past year.
