Obituary

RACINE – George J. Barrett, 95, passed away at Season's Hospice in Waukesha on Thursday, June 25, 2015. George was born in Racine on January 26, 1920 to George Washington and Barbara (nee, Born) Barrett. He retired as a machinist from Racine Hydraulics and worked on the family farm. George was baptized at and was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. George is survived by nieces and nephews, Lee (Nancy) Barrett, Lucinda Barrett, Jan Barrett, Barbara (Ken) Campo, Earl (Velma) Barrett and Michelle (Jen) Barrett; grand nieces, Jessica and Allison Campo; and his sister-in-law, May Barrett. George is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Irving E. "Red" Barrett and Walter Barrett. Funeral services for George will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 725 High Street, on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Inurnment will take place at Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Thursday for a viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Season's Hospice.
