Genowefa Gryszkiewicz Racine - Genowefa Gryszkiewicz, 83, passed away at her home on Monday, August 20, 2007. Genowefa was born in Jeleniewo, Poland on June 15, 1924 to Leon and Elzbieta (nee, Miszkiel) Tylenda. She married Antoni Gryszkiewicz on May 3, 1952. Genowefa was employed by St. Luke's Hospital and loved to garden. Survivors include her husband, Antoni Gryszkiewicz of Racine; daughters, Ellen Harrison of Crystal Lake, IL, Teresa (Steve) Meinel of Whitewater, WI and Harriet (Lou DiCerbo) Gryszkiewicz of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Jaimie Utley of Racine, Nicholas Meinel, Katherine Meinel and Kristine Meinel all of Whitewater; great granddaughter, Lauryn Utley of Racine; and one brother and one sister. Genowefa is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Zofia Olow. The Mass of Christian Burial for Genowefa will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Erie and St. Patrick Streets, on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10 a. m. celebrated by Rev. John Aiello. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m.
